Comment: | Abbeyfield is a charity, run by volunteers, set up to provide active elderly people with an alternative to living alone. This house is home to seven residents, who need to be fit and able to take care of themselves and their bedsit. A resident housekeeper looks after the house and cooks two main meals a day and is on hand for emergencies. All meals and services are provided, although no personal or nursing care is provided.
