The Coleford Early Years Centre is open term times only, with daily sessions from 9:00 to 11:30am and 12:30 to 3:00pm Monday to Thursday.
Local children start Playgroup at the age of two years six months, and are referred by their parents / carers. Children with special needs may be referred to the Early Years Panel for a placement. All the play sessions are integrated. They work closely with the Forest of Dean Childrens Opportunity Centre Charity, who own the building.
Details of the sessions, and other groups, are as follows:
+ Two to four year olds - Monday am/pm, Tuesday pm, Wednesday pm, Thursday am/pm, Friday pm;
+ Bumps and Babes (non-mobile) - Monday 1:00 to 3:00pm, Wednesday, 9:30 to 11:30am, Friday 11:00am to 12:30pm;
+ Next Steps (mobile to two and a half years) - Wednesday, 9:30 to 11:15am;
+ Parents / Carer support (with creche) - Monday and Tuesday 1:00 to 3:00pm;
+ Parent and Toddlers Friday (two sessions)- 9:00 to 10:30am and 11:00am to 12:30pm.
They also offer parent support groups / courses throughout the year.
