Working to support patients, families and carers
As a patient, relative or carer, sometimes you may need to turn to someone for help, advice and support.
Our aim is to help sort out any problems or concerns you may have when using community and mental health services.
PALS work with patients and staff to improve our health service by:
The service is free and confidential. We will always ask for your permission before personal information is discussed with others. We can talk to staff, management, and other organisations on your behalf. We can also refer on to external agencies or specialist advocacy services, where this is appropriate.
Only in exceptional cases where your safety or that of others must be considered will we have to pass on information. We will always tell you if we have to do this.
Improving services by listening to you - compliments, comments, concerns and complaints - the 4Cs
The Patient Advice and Liaison service seeks to promote the importance of listening to patient enquiries and concerns. Community PALS is a first point of contact for anyone wishing to provide feedback about services provided by 2gether NHS Foundation Trust or community health services in Gloucestershire, including:

GP services
Commmunity hospitals
Podiatry
District nursing
Midwifery
Speech therapy
NHS dentistry
Sexual health services
Unscheduled care and out of hours services
Community physiotherapy
Occupational Therapy
Health visiting
Hospital PALS are responsible for enquiries or concerns about services provided by Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
GWAS PALS are responsible for enquiries and concerns relating to the Gloucestershire Out of Hours home visiting service.
